ICYMI, Self made artist, Gee has released his long waited EP Avatar and let me tell you guys, this EP is something that should not be slept on. Laced up with 4 tracks with no features representing the 4 element signs, Earth, Air, Fire and Water.
I got a chance to sit down with Gee back in February at Mahjong Bar in Toronto for a few drinks and he told me about the process of the EP as well as his inspiration/influences, etc.
Gee is a recording artist, DJ, producer and member of the famous artist collection group, Trifecta from Ontario. Heavily into the old skool genre which solely inspires him to write, produce and create, Gee uses that to create his own art and keep the momentum of old skool alive. His representation as “Avatar” has heavily influenced his new EP which the different sounds in each track ranging from hiphop to lofi to mellow R&B and Gee is personally a person who always switches his sounds and try new things instead of sticking to one style which I heavily respect.
