UGH!! Anastasia Beverly Hills did it again!!! Although, the brand was previously known for the highlight and contour palette, ABH kills it every time with the releases of their eyeshadow palettes. For this holiday season, ABH came out with the limited edition Prism Eye Palette ($42USD) that holds both neutral and prismatic shadows. 14 shades of both neutral and prismatic shadows to be exact. It has bold metallics and complimentary neutral colors to go with together. Let’s talk about packaging! The way the box looks is so luxe! All black with the accents of gold that’s all minimal yet eye catching. Once you take the palette out the box, the palette is of a velvet texture (all black, of course & my favorite color) with the same beautiful gold detailing. You open it up and BAM! that palette is gorgeous!
The color pay off is to die for and you just need one sweep to get that full pigment you’d wish all eye palettes had. It is not comparable to any BH cosmetic palette or even a palette from By Terry. It is creamy yet powdery at the same time. For some of the litter color of shimmer I love to use my fingers to dab it on the places I desire. The color combos that can be put together are endless and it has a great balance of both light and deeper shades. According to Cosmopolitan, some favorite color combos are “Eternal” with “Lure,” “Eden,” and “Obsidian,” or “Lucid” with “Unity,” “Saturn,” and “Oasis.”
When it comes to creating an eye palette is so important when sticking to the goal and purpose of it. Knowing that the formulas used are going to be of great quality, is major key! ABH delivered.
I am not sure if any one of you are ingredient freaks or just want to make sure that products don’t have specific ingredients but I can tell you that this palette is paraben free and sulfate free!
Not in just this product but all products, Anastasia has been a beauty innovator and for sure for a good reason. Before she got into doing her own products, she was the “go-to” specialist went it came to top celebrities! So for sure she understands what the demand is and what consumers are really looking for.
